This Public & Products Liability extension specifically and deliberately excludes beauty related activities. If Hairdressing is what you do, then hairdressing is all you pay for. We do not include and charge for excessive liability covers for weird and wonderful beautician treatments that you simply don’t do! Our full market research analysis showed that all Insurers include beauty related treatments in their standard Hair Liability wordings, and all are at higher price than the SalonCover Hair product. We only include those Hair activities that you specialise in, saving you $$$ on wasted insurance premiums.

$5, $10 & $20million options are available. Should you require further cover, or extend your range of treatments past Hair activities at any time, we would recommend a simple upgrade at minimal cost to one of our Silver, Gold or Platinum packages.

It may also be suitable for Hairdressers offering that little bit extra in addition to hair related activities.

Beauty Platinum

Saloncover’s Beauty Platinum Insurance Product is suitable for Higher end treatment risks, such as Laser Therapy, Dermabrasion, Red Vein Removal, Acid Peels and similar. Previously unavailable and uncovered risks are now available exclusively through Beauty Platinum.

As a business package, you can take any or all of the benefits of our Fire/Perils, Business Interruption, Burglary, Money, Glass, Machinery Breakdown, Electronic Equipment, Employee Theft or General Property covers…PLUS you get the Full Beauty Services Platinum Professional Indemnity Liability Extension.

This Professional Indemnity Cover provides a claims made wording, meaning the incidence can occur at any time, but must be noted in insured period. Cover includes General Liability for Hair, Silver and Gold treatments. Our full market research analysis showed that almost all such treatments have been uninsurable in the past, and if fortunate to obtain cover, premiums were extremely high. Our Platinum package ensures your operations are correctly insured at the right price.

Exclusions

• Treatments applied by doctors & other medically qualified practitioners;
• Remedial massage therapy;
• Any form of spinal manipulation;
• Genital, tongue and/or nipple piercing;
• Sclerotherapy;
• Acupuncture;
• Reiki;
• Any form of non-cosmetic permanent tattoos;
• Nutritional advice;
• Laser therapy:- where the laser output exceeds the maximum wattage allowed by the Australian standards or other legislation, or - instances where clients are not provided with appropriate eye protection (e.g. goggles) during treatment; and/or,
• Any activities not expressly stated in the above Schedules, Silver, Gold & Platinum
